Where can I be involved in a conversation
about specified ministries in the UCA?
You can be involved in the conversations anywhere – in your
local congregation, in your home group, in any of the councils of
the UCA. The resources are available online. Contact your local
church, and ask if they have a group organised to be part of the
conversations. If not, why not be the person who gets it going?
This is an important conversation for the church to have, and the
more voices that are heard the better view we get of what are the
ministry realities facing the UCA.
What if I want to be involved with the process, but papers
and discussion groups just aren’t my thing?
You can be involved in other ways too – e-chat groups will
be available – check out the home page of this website to
find out how you can be involved. Also on this site will be people’s
interactions with this issue in other ways – audio conversations,
artwork, written conversations, prayers etc. If you would like to
contribute to this conversation in other creative ways, contact
us – this is a conversation for everyone, and a conversation
that can be held in many ways.
How do we make the conversations interesting?
That’s up to you! Think about where the conversations happen
(in the church, in a park, over dinner or coffee, in the local pub,
on the telephone…), who will be involved, and what you want
to get out of the conversation. We want to hear what you think about
the issue – but you can also use the conversations to learn
about the specified ministries of the UCA, or to think about ministry
in your local area and how effective it is.
If you need some help, or want to discuss anything, then contact
us.
