| Following the 10" Assembly in 2003, some resolutions
concerning the specified ministries were referred to the Assembly
Standing Committee to consider and report back to the 11th Assembly.
The Assembly Standing Committee appointed a Task Group to look at
the resolutions, and to also deliberate on how the church ordered
these ministries.
The Task Group decided to set up a series of conversations in 2005, in order to allow a wide ranging discussion across the broad spectrum of the life of the Uniting Church. These conversations will consist of three phases: Conversation 1: Church and Ministry Conversation 2: Specified Ministries Conversation 3: Preferred Model As an important part of the Uniting Church, we invite you to participate
in this conversation - and offer your perspectives, realities and
wisdom - as we listen together to the many amazing ways the Spirit
of God is at work in this land of Australia. |
