Rev. Dr Paul Walton - Chairperson

Paul Walton is the convener of the National Working Group on Worship. He was ordained a minister of the Word in 1988, and is in placement as a chaplain at the Wesley Hospital, Brisbane.

 

 

 

 

 

Rev. Pam Batson

Pam is a deacon, in her 10th year of placement as a chaplain with Blue Care, a Uniting Church Agency.  She has pastoral and worship responsibilities for three residential aged care centres: one at Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and two on the Sunshine Coast as well as a Day Respite Centre at Coolum.  

 

 

 

 

Rev. Dr Robert Bos

Rob was born in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and had his primary education there and in Brisbane. After high school, he attended the University of Queensland, before commencing his theological education. His initial theological education was within the Joint Faculty of Theology in Brisbane, the Melbourne College of Divinity and then McCormick Seminary in Chicago, USA. He then ministered among Australian Indigenous people at Napranum and Aurukun, and Nungalinya College. This was followed by a term as the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress’ Education Officer. In 1993 Rob became the founding Principal of Coolamon College, before taking up his present position as National Consultant, Theology and Discipleship in 2002. Rob is married to Diane. They have two children and, so far, have three grandchildren.

 

 

Rev. Carol Bennett

Carol Bennett was ordained a Minister of the Word in 1996. She is in placement in Toowong and Bardon congregations in the inner-western suburbs of Brisbane.

Rev. David MacGregor

David is a minister of the Word serving in Youth, Children’s and Families Ministry at Indooroopilly Uniting Church – in southwest Brisbane.  He has previously worked in urban and provincial cities down the coast of Queensland as a commissioned youth worker.  David has a long-abiding passion for Christian education, inclusive & contemporary worship and music with children.  An avid songwriter, his Together to Celebrate website [www.dovenetq.net.au/~macgd] offers contemporary song titles to accompany each Sunday’s lectionary readings.

Anita Monro is Lecturer in Liturgy and Theology at United Theological

College, the Assembly recognised ministry training college for the Synod of

Rev. Bob Warrick

Bob Warrick was ordained as  Minister of the Word in 1988 and has

Served in placements in the Maranoa (Roma) and Geebung and Wavell

Heights. Prior to ordination Bob served as a Christian Educator with a

Particular concern for children and families.  Recently retired, Bob is

Enjoying grandchildren as well as supply ministry.
